How to clean your MoonSisterBijoux jewels ✨

A lot of our clients ask us for information about how they are supposed to take care of our creations. We hope these simple rules will be useful:

Take off brass jewels if you are going to clean, do sports or swim in the pool.☺️

Try not to spray perfumes on areas where it is going to make contact with your jewels😊

Try to use a pH neutral soap (if you don't take off your jewels before taking a shower)🙃

Take off brass jewels before going to sleep if your skin is acidic (not doing so might darken your jewels very quickly)🤓

Don't put sunscreen or pharmaceutical products on your jewels - be particularly careful with brass and rhodium-plated jewels. In fact, not only acidic skin but also the aforementioned products might make the creations become darker)🌈

How to clean your jewels:

Be gentle😊

Baking soda is great for cleaning fashion jewelry that turned black or became oxidized: pour some water into a pot and add one or two spoons of baking soda. Warm the water, but avoid waiting until it boils. Then put your jewels into the water for a few minutes.

Baking soda and vinegar🤓

If your jewels are too oxidized, try to add a little bit of white vinegar into the mixture. When you see bubbles coming up, put the jewels into it. Leave it immersed for a few minutes, then dry it using a cloth.

Toothpaste... yes, that's right!🙃

If that is still not enough, put some toothpaste on your jewels and leave it on for a few minutes. You may also gently rub it with a toothbrush. Then, rinse it off (only using cold water), and dry it using a soft cloth.

White vinegar☺️

It can be very useful for cleaning our jewels. White vinegar removes dirt and makes them sparkle again, especially silvery and golden metals. We can either rub our jewels with a cloth, previously soaked in white vinegar and warm water, or put them directly into the liquid. We particularly recommend it for brass jewels.

How to clean brass jewels😆

Put some drops of lemon on a soft cloth or a soft-bristle toothbrush. The acid contained in lemons is great to remove dirt and make brass sparkle again. Rub it gently on the jewels making circular movements.

We remind you that you should always do these steps in a soft and loving way.
